Stepper Cluster L3 is the second largest Stepper Cluster configuration and is rectangular in overall shape. It has three central posts and a maximum climbing height of 3 feet (900mm). The L3 structure is made of two Stepper Clusters that are functionally linked.
Stepper Clusters are incredibly fun and versatile natural playground pieces that offer many types of play. They are appealing to children of different ages (this one is rated for 5-12yr olds due to height) and abilities and are configured to fit different footprints.
Play Value
What do you get when you take many Log Steppers of varying heights and put them together? Stepper Clusters! Why are Stepper Clusters attractive to children? They are irregular and unusual. Each log is a different height so concentration and attention is needed to navigate the clusters. Each step must be considered and body awareness develops as children think with each movement.
Merits
Stepper Clusters are an organic and creative play structure. They may be a spot to sit, a place to climb on all fours or a fun experience of stepping or jumping through irregular surfaces.
Materials
Stepper Clusters are made of White Oak sourced from Ontario and the Northeastern United States. Steppers have a diameter of 10 inches. Stain may be applied to vertical log surfaces.
Accessibility
When located on an accessible surface, Stepper Clusters are an accessible ground level play feature.
