The Forest Trio is the trifecta of Forest Tower play. When children reach the tallest space inside the tallest tower, they will be a full 20 feet in the air!
The beauty of the Forest Trio is that it engages children of all ages, abilities and risk-tolerance levels. The most adventurous will love the thrill of getting though the challenging flexform sling seats inside the tall tower. At the same time, young children can engage in the Junior Forest Tower and stay closer to the ground.
The three Forest Towers are all interconnected via flexform or rope bridges suspended from stainless steel rails.
Play Value
The Forest Trio features three structures that appear similar on the exterior but have very different and creative play experiences on the inside. The Junior Forest Tower is an elevated playhouse or clubhouse with three levels, one at grade, and two inside the pod.
The mid-sized Forest Tower is a spiral climber where children can escape down the slide, secretly enter via the scramble net or escape up through the third level to the tallest Forest Tower.
The largest Forest Tower reaches a full 30 feet in the air (children can climb inside to approximately 23 feet). A rope jungle with flexform seats at uneven intervals greets the most adventurous children who can climb down to the lowest level to get back to the Junior Forest Tower. A 16 foot tube slide provides a quick escape out of the tallest Forest Tower.
Merits
The Forest Trio is stunningly beautiful and incredibly playful. It has endless play affordances for kids of all ages and will engage them for hours. The structures can be imagined in so many ways and adding stain can personalize the Towers to match a theme or colour scheme.
The Forest Trio Towers are all about play choices: social, independent, active, passive, fast, slow, challenging or within a comfort zone. Kids will imagine the Towers as a thousand different spaces: perhaps future space pods, a microworld, or highrise living? There are unlimited ways to move in this and the experience is 360 degrees.
Materials
Each of the structures in the Forest Trio is constructed with a frame cladded in Accoya. Accoya is also used for platforms and steps. The Junior Forest Tower has a four foot high double-width stainless steel slide; the taller Tower has a 6 foot high stainless steel slide and the tallest tower has a 16 foot stainless steel tube slide. Interior play includes ropes, nets and flexform.
Accessibility
The Forest Trio is accessible via the Junior Forest Tower and includes an ADA compliant flexform bridge to the mid-level Tower.
