The Forest Hut is the coolest and most beautiful playground clubhouse you can find. Filled with play opportunities for the youngest visitors, it has layers of challenge through its three levels. It is ADA accessible and can be used independently or in combination with the other Forest Towers. The raised hut includes a double stainless steel slide, accessible transfer bench with handholds, a lookout balcony and interior net hammock.
The Forest Hut can be the starting point for accessing the larger Forest Towers or can be used individually. The ADA transfer platform and spiral stairs lead to a platform and bench and give access to the wide 4 foot stainless steel slide. If used individually, this level includes a balcony but when used in combination with the Forest Duo, access to the second Forest Tower happens here. Children can climb further up the tower though flexform triangle hammocks for a lookout view from the third level.
The round, organic form of the Forest Hut is visually striking. Its shape leaves it open to the imagination - is it a treehouse? A fortress? A spaceship? Children will be drawn to the cozy feeling that the tower evokes. It is both a space that encourages physical play, but also social interaction or a solitary hide-out.
The Forest Hut is designed to offer many spaces and options for play. At ground level, children can crawl under the hut. Inside the first level, there are 360 degrees of choice - up, down, sideways, climbing, sliding or sitting! There are both firm surfaces as well as hammock nets and flexform that move and respond as children cross them. This perfectly sized play house is a beautiful and awe inspiring place to play and be.
The Forest Hut is constructed around a central Alaskan Yellow Cedar post. The Alaskan Yellow Cedar glulam frame has Accoya cladding which is also used for the platforms and steps. A four foot high double-width stainless steel slide is included. Interior play includes nets and flexform.
The Forest Hut is an accessible play feature that makes use of a transfer platform system for mobility device users to shift onto the structure.
