Play Value

An underwater adventure awaits with the Fish! A low-level structure, the Fish features interactive parts and different ways of entering and exiting. It is a two-part structure with a main body and a separate tail section. A wavy metal bar connects the head and tail and can be used by children for support. The main body features a cozy, hut-like interior. Children can walk into the Fish’s mouth, crawl in over a rear bench, or enter through the Flex Form fins. Children will meet face-to-face at the counter table inside the tail. All parts of the Fish are climbable, and moving parts encourage children to weave through, peek out, and engage with the sculpture from multiple angles.

Merits

The Fish’s approachable shape and scale make it ideal for a junior play area with a marine theme. Staining options offer flexibility to transform the fish into different species or storybook characters. It combines the functionality of a play hut with the fun of a crawl-through structure, making it both a low-challenge and a high-appeal play feature. The Fish tail can be aligned straight to the body or set at an angle to the left or right, providing flexibility for the site layout.

Materials

The Fish is constructed with a marine-grade plywood frame and is clad in Accoya. The connecting wavy bar is made from powder-coated steel, and the wood beads are Accoya. The Fish has Flex Form fins and scales.

The Fish is an accessible ground-level play feature when situated on an accessible path or surfacing.

COLOUR OPTIONS

The Fish is available in four standard colours, blue, red, green, or yellow. Other single colour options are available. There is no option for no stain.
