Log Tangle 2.2 incorporates two low triangular platforms. A flexform sling seat with small holes that may help children pull themselves up provides an accessible route from a transfer bench to the platform with a slide. An open wood bridge connects to the second low platform which can also be accessed via notched logs or a junior rope crossing. Magnetic beads can be pushed along a triangular rail above this second lower platform.
Log Tangles can be functionally linked with other Post and Rope elements, Log Piles or Log Jams (where available) or can be a stand-alone playground structure.
Younger children will experience graduated challenges and learn to assess risk as they navigate and gain confidence on Log Tangle 2.2. With balancing, climbing, crawling, sliding and passive play options, children with different abilities and interests will find something to keep them returning to this low-level play structure. The oak transfer bench and sling seat with cut out holes provides an accessible route to the slide. Little hands push and pull the magnetic beads and watch as they magically ride the triangular rail.
Log Tangles are built primarily with hand-processed Robinia pseudoacacia logs sourced from Ontario and the Northeastern United States. Logs have a minimum diameter of 6 inches and anti-crack bolts are added to the ends of each log. The slide deck platforms and bridge slats are made of Accoya. The wood texture is a pleasant sensory experience. As a poor conductor of heat, the wood never feels too hot or too cold to bare skin.
All slides are available in either plastic (with colour choice options) or stainless steel. Black rubber flexform is used for the access climber (with cut out holes). Nets and ropes are nylon-wrapped steel core. The transfer bench is oak. Magnets are embedded in a round 5”/130mm bead.
Caution: Mild magnetic field. Can be ordered without magnets.
Log Tangle 2.2 is accessible.
