The Gatherer is a charming woodland creature with a playful and approachable character. It offers endless play on its exterior and interior. Children can crawl through the mouth to enter the Gatherer's interior, a cozy space with lounging seats for a small group of children. They can peek through the eye holes or lounge inside the body. The Gatherer’s puffy tail is perfect for over or under play - they can crawl on top or hide inside.

The full body is climbable for children who want to perch on top. Cutouts at the top add visual interest and opportunities for children to peek through and interact with those inside. Small Flex Form ears can be tickled, and children can peer out through the Gatherer’s eyes.

Merits

As a small woodland creature that exists on almost every continent, the Gatherer is an ideal fit for a forest-themed or urban playscape. After all, Gatherers (like chipmunks, squirrels and mice) are commonly found in urban environments. Its form is flexible and, with colour options, it can be imagined as a chipmunk or a mouse, allowing it to fit into various nature-themed settings. This critter is designed to be grouped with other similarly themed animals or log play features, creating a cohesive and enchanting environment.

Materials

The Gatherer is constructed with a marine-grade plywood frame and clad in Accoya. Its ears are made from Flex Form, while the back feet are crafted from a white oak log.

Accessibility

The Gatherer is an accessible ground-level play feature when situated on an accessible path or surfacing.

COLOUR OPTIONS

The Gatherer can be left unstained or can be stained to resemble a Grey Squirrel, a Red Squirrel, or a Chipmunk. There is also an option to choose one stain colour from the Colour Options.
